To create a successful DR plan, you need to know how to recover each component of the IT system. All steps to recovery must be identified and listed in the correct order. Missing a restoration step during a disaster could set you back.

Things to consider when identifying these procedures include:

  • Identifying which components can be down without impacting availability
  • Defining the steps to restore each component (e.g. server, database) back to health
