October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month, and we invite you to join us for a month of interactive events and fun activities to defend Yale's resources and defeat online thieves.

Our role in cybersecurity is more crucial than ever. Just like superheroes protect the world from villains, we can be cybersecurity heroes by safeguarding Yale against digital threats.

Here are four ways you can use your cyber superpowers for good:

  • Save the day by reporting suspicious activity. See something? Say something! When you report suspicious online activity, you are taking proactive steps to protect Yale’s data and systems. Hone your reporting skills with our fill-in-the-gap puzzle.
  • Defend Yale’s resources by knowing your risk. We access and use data but don’t always consider how well we’re protecting it. Strengthen your cyber defenses by completing the Know Your Risk trivia puzzle.
  • Defeat online thieves with robust passwords. Shield yourself against cybercriminals by powering up your passwords. Our Use Secure Passwords scavenger hunt helps you get it done.
  • Combat cybercrime by protecting your email. When you click with caution, you use your cyber superpowers to recognize even the most convincing phishing emails ready to trick you. Here’s a little tip: our Click with Caution crossword puzzle will help you fight back with knowledge.
