Enhanced Duo MFA Process Starting June 23

Starting Monday, June 23, ITS will begin a rolling migration to an updated multi-factor authentication (MFA) configuration. 

 

What This Means for You

  • Over the next few weeks, you may be prompted to sign in again to any open Microsoft applications across all devices you use.
  • As part of the new process, you'll also see an additional prompt before completing your Duo MFA challenge.
     

What’s Changing?

Current Process:
  1. Enter your NetID and password
  2. Complete the Duo MFA challenge (e.g., approve a push, enter a code)
New Process:
  1. Enter your NetID and password
  2. A new window will appear: click “Approve with Duo Security” 
  3. Complete the Duo MFA challenge (e.g., approve a push, enter a code)
