Endpoint protection entails software-implemented safeguards to defend systems against attack. This covers desktops, laptops, and servers.
Yale currently employs the Crowdstrike Falcon Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) software for Yale-owned systems. For more information, please visit our Endpoint Protection page. For information on other anti-malware software, please see our Protect Your Device from Malware page.
Crowdstrike should be installed wherever feasible. If using Crowdstrike isn't possible, Windows systems may use Defender, while the latest MacOS systems may rely on their built-in anti-malware features. All other systems must employ a commensurate anti-malware solution.
